Lovely community hub/cafe with a great welcome and properly "home cooked" style fresh food. The onsite parking was full but the adjacent road has unrestricted kerbside parking. Thoroughly recommended for a local old-fashioned vibe and tasty reasonably priced food.

Been here a number of times the most friendly people and welcoming hub is named Opal. This place certainly brings people together and also welcomes all genders and caters for a wider community of people. With learning disabilities along side the elderly people they preserve life. Giving people chances that they would never have had helping thrm to engage in activerties and enjoy a beutiful warm meal . The people who are employed in this hub serve people with a wide range of foods along with a massive selection of different cakes to enjoy with a beautiful yorkshire english tea along side all the other great things this place helps those in need and who had faced a difficult time in crisis people less fortunate. The thing that i would say for this place is they are looking to help people and not mentioning the financial burdon they have in keeping the place to the high standards they like to give and share with good people. This place could do with some people who could give a little ov there time to volenteering if any body is looking to gain some expieriance i would say this place could be the answer it gives people who may need a stepping stone a chance to learn to engage with people who can have learning disabilities or otherwise help people who have nobody to find new friends. They only ask a minimal fee to join in activaties if they are of a certain age they can join these groups that enjoy singing also other activaties in there premises. And they commit to helping and serving our community . The people are very careing and like nothing more than to give solutions to helping the elder community have a better quality of life serving the vetarines and people who served leeds and our country . They make a massive differance and go the extra mile in delivering a servis that leeds west yorkshire are proud and tinsill at side of horseforth can shout about. If you want to get a feel for this i am confident that they are open for at least 3 days a week for these reasons . please give this place i would encourage any persons to help this place along side any donations because this place is a life line for old young and vounrable familys . The staff here are the nicest of people with big hearts and look after all faiths . They dont judge people for any reasons they just try to achieve bringing the best out of people with the addition of a discount on food and tea and coffee with cakes if you pay the anual cost to receive the discounts what is a small worthy fee. The place is very big in size and your eyes never get board of seeing beautiful people popping in to have a chat or have some me time. The place has places for mobiliy scooters and do take people in groups to either shopping trips or gathering if they have memberships.

This place is a real little gem in the community. Since buying the old run down pub it used to house there has been a huge transformation. The cafe is really welcoming, plenty of space, kids corner, fully accessible. There is a car park at the rear, bus stop across the road (no 6 and 19) and Horsforth train station isn't far either. No excuse not to go and visit! Amazing staff, friendly atmosphere, really good selection of food (the cake!!!) and great coffee! As you can probably tell, I rather like it!!

Great place to visit, so welcoming and friendly it is like you have been a friend for years even if it is your first visit. They have something going on every day, from lunches where you an get a warm meal to games afternoons where you can meet new friends and have a laugh. They also have nurses dropping in to help with any bandage dressing you may require and advise on any health problems. To many events to list so recommend looking on their website, which is something they also help with. Highly recommended.

Welcome In cafe is a lovely community and they are so helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much for the staff and volunteers. They bake wonderful cakes and their food is delicious. On the same premises is OPAL (Older People’s Action in the Locality) and you will see many of the members popping in and out of the cafe on their way to activities and lunch clubs. The place is more than a cafe and is a lifeline for many people.

It’s been a while since my last visit !! I was invited to a meeting taking place in the “sunshine “ room and I knew from my last visit that this must be further work in progress! I parked outside and the first thing I noted was that the old entrance had been filled in . I was directed around the side of the building and up a gently sloping wide ramp to another large entrance. There are railings all the way up the ramp for safety and help for mobility . It also prevents a drop onto the old steps too. The new doorway is double glazed sliding doors and leads into a corridor. Situated here too is a disabled toilet wheelchair Accessible and fitted with visual impairment handrails too . To my right a large double door leading into the “sunshine” room . It was a very sunny day and the room was bathed with light even with the blinds closed ! Very appropriate name . This was the meeting room today and also in an alcove is a very modern little kitchenette. A good sized meeting room without crazy acoustics !! All floors flat and level and no trip hazards! A real jewel in the crown of the LS16 community . Still work to do outside and the bees were busy in the parts that had been cleared and planted .
